About Me
Christine An is an independent filmmaker and freelance videographer with expertise in documentary, storytelling, and producing. She has worked on various independent film productions as the director, producer, 1st AD, and production assistant.
She graduated from Boston University in 2024 with a dual degree in Film & TV and International Relations with a focus on cultural anthropology. Her passion ranges from the Asian diaspora, children in foster care, to the interconnectedness of liberation movements. As an immigrant and BIPOC filmmaker herself, Christine wishes to her privileges and tools to uplift marginalized voices and deconstruct the public discourse rooted in colonialism .
Christine’s directorial debut short, At What Cost, has been recognized with multiple awards, including the title of "Best Female Student Director" in Indie Short Fest (January 2024) and her documentary, The Story of Charcoal has recently won the Lowell Film Festival.
